Tuscan Gardens

This beautiful waterfront property came to us after the homeowner moved on from his current landscaper and brought us in to further develop the design and install to completion. 

The design included photo realistic renders and a 3D animation fly through of the proposed landscape.  With the homeowner looking to settle into their dream home, the property needed to provide timeless elegance and long term functionality.  With a long winding brick driveway opening up to their Tuscan style home, the property is enriched by stylish planting blended into the backdrop of well-established cedars that provide an intimate privacy.

Key Features:

• A three tiered Henrii fountain highlight the tranquility of a sunken brick patio surrounded by raised planters and the homeowner’s tomato garden
• Curved Radius Beams connect a custom wood structure that borders the raised planters creating a visually stunning front yard feature
• Marrying the breath-taking existing trees that form the structure of the entire property with an ageless myriad of new plantings
• Custom greenhouse from a great local supplier “Everlast Greenhouse
• Low voltage lighting system

Challenges:

• Some constraints we faced in developing this project were working with the existing grades and retaining walls from the previous contractor that did not meet our standards and needed to be remediated
• With such a large paving stone driveway area, numerous grade and drainage considerations were required to ensure proper removal of rainwater
• The need to laminate beams to match 4 different radius’s for 3 custom arbours
• Some of the large existing trees were under major stress from changes in their environment during the development of the house and property
