Our GiveBack program is an extension of our Open Book Management system, which engages and educates our team, generating thousands of dollars for charity – over $200,000 to date in cash and in-kind donations – while giving our team a voice in their workplace and a positive relationship with their community.

The Yard Angel project aims to lighten the gardening load for one Kelowna resident suffering from a debilitating illness or injury who are unable to care for their yards. It’s an inspiring way for us to contribute to the community by doing what we do best: landscaping. Once a year a recipient will be chosen through our nomination process.
Friends, family, and caregivers are encouraged to nominate people who appreciate and need our expert landscape maintenance service. On a Saturday in late Summer or Fall, Creative Roots Yard Angels descend upon and complete a landscape miracle at the recipient’s home. We hope our gesture will bring joy, ease the burden and promote the healing of a local resident in need.

Over thirty charities have benefited from the Creative Roots GiveBack program to date, including the KGH Foundation, Make a Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, Cops for Kids, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Inn From the Cold, HOPE Outreach, Boys and Girls Club and the Kelowna Women’s Shelter.
