Jacob is the CEO and majority shareholder of Creative Roots after years of being with the company. When he’s not busy hard at work, he loves to spend time with his partner, Chloe, and their daughter.

Ryan is our almighty leader and the hardest working man you will ever meet. Nobody epitomizes Creative Roots Culture and Principles more than the head honcho. A fun fact about Ryan is that he can win a game of Connect 4 in only 3 moves.

Colette joined Creative Roots Landscaping after moving to Kelowna in 2014 and has grown from “office person who keeps things from falling apart” into Operations & Systems Lead — and shareholder. She’s passionate about building efficient systems, supporting the team, and helping the company grow while keeping things organized behind the scenes.

When she’s not working, you’ll usually find her training, cycling, hiking, walking her 10-year-old Corgi Newman, or spending time with her man Ray. She’s deeply committed to living a strong, healthy, active life and believes getting older should never mean slowing down.

Zach joined us in 2015 as a crew. 7 years later he became a shareholder! We were taken by his impeccable work ethic and dashing good looks. What he loves best about landscaping is the people he works with. What we love best about Zach is that he is soft yet very fierce.

Rik tracked us down from Ontario in 2021, and we’re sure glad he did! He’s a go-getter who studied landscaping and is keen to be a designer one day. He loves the intense landscape season so he can spend winters skiing! He has grown from construction technician to shareholder and Director of Pre Construction.

Say hello to Josh, who made the journey from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, to Kelowna in 2023, eager to dive deeper into the world of landscaping and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle the Okanagan is known for. With a background that spans from warehouse work to being a top-notch salesman at The Brick (with a little landscaping on the side), Josh has quietly but steadily worked his way up to become an absolute powerhouse Foreman. When he’s not hard at work in the dirt, you’ll find him soaking up nature – whether that’s skiing, hiking, fishing, or biking. This guy’s always on the move!

Creative, and a lot of weird.

Laure moved from New Zealand to Canada in 2024 and quickly worked his way up to Foreman. With over 10 years in landscaping and a specialty in hardscape construction, he’s known for his precision, positivity, and passion for the craft. His goals? Settle in Kelowna, level up his skills, and spend more time ski touring and fly fishing in the Canadian wild. We’re lucky to have him on the team!

Noah, his infectious smile and positive energy came to us from Ontario. He goes back when he can to share precious time with his family. He’s our family man!

Tanner joined us in 2024 with a Bachelor of Environmental Design in hand, years of landscape construction and maintenance experience, and big dreams of pursuing a landscape design career. He’s possibly the only one on our team who’s nailed a backflip on a snowboard and a hole-in-one at Tower Ranch Golf Club! A true go-getter, Tanner juggles multiple jobs to pay off student loans and build the career he’s after. We’re thrilled he chose to join us, and we’re excited to support his journey to become a landscape designer!

After being part of the team a few years back, Fraser returned to Creative Roots in 2025 after completing his business degree. He now handles marketing and branding, but still loves getting his hands dirty alongside the construction crew.

Rebecca always has a shovel in the soil and a shoulder to lean on. Music, psychology and snowboarding makes her happy.

Roman joined us in 2024, bringing a wealth of experience from his family’s nursery business in Ukraine—though sadly, the war made that no longer possible. A true gardener at heart, Roman has an unmatched passion for plants! He’s dedicated to improving his English and working towards residency so he can bring his family to settle in beautiful Kelowna. We’re lucky to have such a talented horticulturist on our team!

Rhian joined us in 2024, bringing a wealth of customer service experience, basic gardening skills, and a strong desire to learn and grow in her work. She’s fully embraced our culture of learning and is absolutely rocking her role as a Maintenance Technician. Rhian’s positive energy and hardworking nature make her an amazing addition to the team. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her partner, animals and growing her own veggies—talk about green thumbs!

Alysha joined us in 2024 all the way from New Zealand, bringing serious plant knowledge, a love for landscaping, and a calm, can-do attitude that keeps everything running smoothly. With years of experience in similar climates, she quickly became our go-to for nursery care, seasonal displays, and keeping the landscape yard in top shape. She’s also the one making sure our crews are prepped and ready each morning—trailers stocked, materials loaded, and good vibes flowing. Whether she’s getting her hands dirty or organizing behind the scenes, Alysha’s always finding ways to make life easier for the team. We’re lucky to have her!
