Keep the Business Moving. Build Stability. Protect the Flow.

At Creative Roots Landscaping, we believe great administration creates great client and employee experiences.

Behind every successful project, smooth employee onboarding, organized payroll, accurate records, responsive client communication, and efficient day-to-day operations is someone making sure the details don’t fall through the cracks.

That’s this role.

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being organized, following through, and helping a team stay on top of the details.

This isn’t a reception role.

This isn’t a management role.

It’s a role for someone who takes pride in keeping recurring administrative work accurate, organized, and completed on time.

If you’re the type of person who enjoys crossing things off a list, keeping systems organized, and helping others succeed by making sure nothing gets missed, we’d love to meet you.

What This Role Is

You’ll support the day-to-day administrative operations of Creative Roots by coordinating recurring workflows that keep the business organized and moving forward.

Rather than solving every problem yourself, your role is to make sure important administrative work happens consistently, accurately, and on time.

You’ll help ensure:

  • Employee onboarding is completed smoothly
  • Payroll information is accurate and ready on time
  • Employee records stay organized
  • Client inquiries are responded to promptly
  • Sales leads are routed appropriately
  • Workflows stay organized and on track
  • Managers aren’t chasing recurring administrative tasks
  • Important details don’t fall through the cracks

You’ll work closely with our Operations & Systems Lead, department managers, and office team to help keep the business running smoothly.

Success in this role comes from consistency, organization, communication, and dependable follow-through.

You’ll probably enjoy this role if you…

  • Enjoy organizing information and keeping things on track.
  • Naturally follow through on commitments.
  • Take pride in accurate work.
  • Like using checklists and established systems.
  • Stay calm when priorities shift.
  • Notice details that other people miss.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Ask questions when something isn’t clear.
  • Enjoy helping others stay organized.

You don’t need to be flashy.

You need to be dependable.

This Role Is NOT a Great Fit If You…

  • Prefer making things up as you go.
  • Get bored by recurring administrative work.
  • Frequently miss details or deadlines.
  • Prefer informal processes over documented systems.
  • Dislike organization or routine.
  • Want to spend your days solving big strategic problems instead of keeping important details moving.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include supporting recurring administrative workflows across several areas of the business, including:

People & HR Administration

  • Employee onboarding and offboarding
  • Employee records
  • Benefits administration
  • Time-off tracking
  • WorkSafe administration
  • Staff communication support

Client & Office Administration

  • Client inquiry management
  • Sales lead coordination
  • Meeting coordination
  • Vendor communication
  • Documentation management
  • General office administration

Operations & Systems Support

  • Payroll support
  • Timesheet follow-up
  • LMN administration
  • CRM updates
  • Reporting support
  • Workflow tracking

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who has experience in administrative support, office coordination, payroll support, bookkeeping support, HR administration, customer service, or a similar role.

You should also have:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail
  • Confidence using computers and learning new software
  • Professional, dependable work habits
  • A genuine desire to support your team

Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, CRM software, payroll systems, or HR administration is considered an asset.

Landscaping experience is not required.

Hours & Compensation

  • Part-time, year-round
  • Approximately 20 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Approximately 4 hours per day
  • Primarily in-office
  • Additional hours may become available as the role and business grow
  • $26–$30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

You’ll also have access to:

  • Extended health benefits (eligibility based on company policy)
  • Gainshare / profit-sharing opportunities
  • Structured onboarding and training
  • Professional development
  • Team events and celebrations

Growing With Creative Roots

We’re looking for someone who wants more than just a part-time job.

As you become confident in the role, you’ll have opportunities to take ownership of additional workflows, learn new business systems, and expand your knowledge of payroll, HR administration, business operations, and office coordination.

As Creative Roots continues to grow, there may be opportunities for increased hours and responsibilities based on your strengths and the needs of the business.
