What You’ll Do
As a Landscape Construction Technician, you’ll work closely with the Landscape Construction Foreman to bring dream landscapes to life. Whether you’re building patios, installing irrigation, or laying out garden beds, you’ll be part of a team that prioritizes excellence, innovation, and efficiency.
Here’s what your days will look like:
- Build rock walls, patios, driveways, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Install irrigation, low-voltage lighting, water features, and plants.
- Use tools and equipment, including skid steers and excavators.
- Read plans, calculate material needs, and execute tasks efficiently.
- Help maintain team morale and contribute to a safe, productive work environment.
- Master the Creative Roots way and help train team members in techniques and best practices.
Skills & Experience You’ll Bring
You don’t just bring experience—you bring energy, focus, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Here’s what you need to succeed:
- At least 2 years of training or equivalent experience in landscape construction.
- Ability to read plans, perform material take-offs, and prioritize tasks.
- Experience with irrigation, paving stones, drainage systems, and softscapes.
- Comfort operating machinery like skid steers and excavators.
- Physically fit and ready for a full day of hands-on work.
- A valid BC Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
